WABCO, a leading global supplier of technologies to improve safety and efficiency of commercial vehicles, has announced the opening of a new application engineering center in Pune. The new center, the second of its kind in India, will allow WABCO’s engineers to work closely with global commercial vehicle manufacturers in India to jointly develop customized products and solutions across a broad range of vehicle platforms.

The WABCO team at the new center will consist of application and test engineers to provide custom-tailored support to its broad base of customers. This facility enables WABCO to further enhance its competence by providing on-demand and on-time support to all its OE customers.

The company envisions deploying up to 15 engineers at the center by the end of 2015. They will provide a wide range of system design, application engineering and project management support to help WABCO customers develop new commercial vehicle platforms and models.
