WABCO India, a leading supplier of technologies that improve the safety, efficiency and connectivity of commercial vehicles, has renewed its commitment as the Official Braking Technology Partner to Tata Motors’ T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship in 2017. Building on the success of past years, WABCO India will participate in the fourth season of India’s pre-eminent truck racing championship. Tata Motors will host Season 4 of the T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), Greater Noida.
WABCO teamed up with Tata Motors from the very beginning of Season 1 of the Prima Truck Racing Championship, when Tata Motors launched India’s premier truck racing event in 2014. The introduction of truck racing in India has given WABCO the opportunity to demonstrate its industry-leading braking technologies on the race track, under extreme operating conditions.
WABCO provides all competing Tata PRIMA racing trucks with a range of innovative products drawn from its portfolio of industry-leading safety and efficient technologies. Each PRIMA truck is equipped with a state-of-the-art air brake system that includes WABCO’s Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and high-performance air management system in addition to high-output, modular compressor technology, advanced air actuation systems, Integrated Pedal Unit (IPU) and other braking components.
Considered as the F1 of Truck Racing in India, this championship is a grand spectacle of Tata PRIMA race trucks battling it out against each other at the Buddh International Circuit.
