Witzenmann looking forward to business expansion in India

Wolfgang Weinbrecht, Vice President, Commercial Vehicles and Engines Division, Witzenmann speaks to Sarada Vishnubhatla about the company’s latest offerings in hydrogen fuel cell applications and other cutting-edge solutions, that are meant for the global as well as Indian markets.

Witzenmann @ IAA Transportation 2022: This is a perfect platform to show our customers the solutions we are developing. We are showcasing the products that are currently being catered to combustion engines that we are supporting, and of course, all technologies like the combustion engine with the bellows and pipe assemblies. We also have on show what we are doing for the new mobility vehicles. In that context, we have hoses and assemblies for the hydrogen fuel cell applications, as well as applications for battery cooling where we supply pipe assemblies to connect different batteries within the stack for cooling.

Speciality @ Witzenmann: Our clients know us as their successful engineering partners and they know that we support them with new technologies and new applications. We are able to support them with a huge variety of products. Be it in India, Europe, US, China, or Brazil, we are supporting our customers globally. We address their pain points which are increasing material costs and logistics problems. A few months ago, we launched a new technology in India which enables us to now produce engine related pipes as well. and this is specifically for a major passenger car manufacturer, but we are also working on the same projects for commercial vehicles also.

In the context of India: India is an interesting market for us. Witzenmann is working not only in the commercial vehicles segment but also in the railways business in India. We are looking forward to working on more projects and to establish fruitful equations with more customers in India.
Putting Best Foot Forward: Witzenmann is trying new technology wherein we are using 3d printing technology for a few fixtures for connecting pipes. Yet, it is a long way before we can possibly 3d print the bellows. We are also now combining stainless steel with rubber hoses and this is fairly new for our business.
