IFEMA has announced the 12th edition of the International Bus and Coach Trade Fair, FIAA, which will take place during October 28 to 
31, 2014, at Feria De Madrid. The event will seek to bolster its international standing with a revamped image.
FIAA will run parallel with MATELEC, the International Trade Fair for the Electrical and Electronics Industry, one of the most important industrial trade fairs in Spain and Portugal.
In pursuit of its aims, FIAA again has the backing of different sectoral associations: ANETRA, the National Association of Coach Transport Owners; ASCABUS, the Spanish Association of Coach and Busbuilders; ASINTRA, the Spanish Passenger Transport Business Federation; FENEBUS, the National Bus Transport Business Federation; ATUC, the Association of Urban Public Transport Management Companies; and TU, the Spanish Surface Urban Public Transport Association.
There will also be strong business involvement in the event, which always showcases the best this industry has to offer, with a comprehensive and innovative offering of full vehicles, chassis, bodywork, parts, accessories and technology, maintenance, transport infrastructure, associations, services and bodies.
This offering is aimed at a wide range of professionals, including fleet operators, coach and bus builders, parts and accessories distributors, dealership professionals, public sector professionals, etc.
FIAA is organising its latest edition under the banner “Technology in Movement” and will focus on key issues like competition, innovation, technology and internationalisation. It has also joined the Bus & Coach Smart Move, a global awareness campaign launched by IRU advocating an increased use of buses and coaches worldwide to achieve sustainable mobility.
