York has launched 5620 YPS (12 ton) axle with “York Precision System (YPS)” in the Auto Component Show in New Delhi. YPS incorporates Temper corporation USA patented Temper-Lock spindle nut and uses Doctor preload tool along with the best quality of bearings, hub seals and grease, thus ensuring up to 40% extra tyre life if the customers continue to maintain proper inflation pressure in tyres and keep brake system trouble free.
With the use of top quality grease and hub seals in 5620 YPS axles, grease change interval can also be assured of not less than 3,00,000 kms even in Indian road conditions.
York have also launched Tecair 1 air suspension with common lift and square axle to provide best solution for cryogenic and petroleum tanker trailers. It also offers air suspension for flat-bed, wind mill blade carrier, refrigerated and container trailers. Though the initial cost of air suspension is high, the customer can recover incremental cost soon by getting better tyre mileage, vehicle stability along with lower maintenance cost. Air suspensions also avoid damage to the trailer body, road surface and delicate goods transported in the trailer. Customer can drive faster even with such cargo resulting in more number of trips and better revenue.
13 ton and 16 ton rated sheet metal suspensions have also been launched in this show. These suspensions are designed to suit Indian roads and applications. Poly and Vesconite bushes have been used to avoid greasing, tab lock washers have been used on adjustable torque arms to avoid frequent inspection of fasteners. These suspensions will ensure low maintenance and high class performance on Indian roads.
