The construction industry in India
with huge investments and growth
witnessed over the years is facing
fresh challenges, with the growing
demand for heavy duty and reliable
machineries, particularly tippers.
Considering the market require-
ment, Tata Motors had launched
Tata 2518HD 9-speed MAV tip-
per last year. The vehicle had tre-
mendous response from customers,
and soon it became their preferred
choice in this tipper category.
Tata LPK 2518HD 9S comes with
powerful and reliable Tata Cum-
mins 183 hp engine, bigger 380 dia
clutch, proven Tata G1150 gear box
and reliable bogie suspension.
Tata G1150 – 9S is India’s first in-
digenously developed 9-speed gear
box. It has got nine forward gears,
including the Crawler gear that can
be used for any kind of high gradi-
ent surface. G1150 has got higher
ratios in all gears. It ensures higher
gradeability in every gear and great-
er productivity in every trip, and it
is superior to the other competiting
gear boxes. Currently more than
5,000 G1150 fitted tippers are in use
in India.
This model comes with heavy
duty bogie suspension which can
take both lateral and twisting loads.
It offers better life and trouble-free
operation. The company-built steel
fixed cabin ensures comfortable ride
with many off-road applications.
With the combination of all the
heavy duty aggregates the LPK
2518HD 9S gives best-in-class per-
formance. Gradeability of 42 per
cent at Crawler gear and 30 per cent
at 1st Gear gives pulling ability in
any terrain and gives superior per-
formance in any application. Hence
LPK 2518HD 9S redefines the per-
formance in 9-speed MAV tippers
category.
Tata Motors has an extensive net-
work across the country with more
than 1,000 workshops and over
7,700 retailers, ensuring effective
service and availability of spare
parts.
The company also started 24x7
Onsite Service Support wherein its
trained experts will be based at the
site with spareparts to ensure daily
preventive and corrective mainte-
nance activates.
