ZF, a leading worldwide au-
tomotive supplier for drive-
line and chassis technology,
is looking at the Indian mar-
ket as a highly potential one
for the long term. The com-
pany was present at Auto
Expo in Delhi for the third
time, but in its new struc-
tural form. It had brought all
its commercial vehicle prod-
ucts under one umbrella. The
restructuring was done fol-
lowing the management de-
cision to bring products to-
gether based on the market
requirements. Since August
2011, its commercial vehicle
products have been merged
into a new division called the
Commercial Vehicle Technol-
ogy Division, and it was the
first time ZF exhibited the
relevant products under the
new division.
The Commercial Vehicle Tech-
nology Division is responsible
for the ZF Group’s international
business of powertrain and chas-
sis technology for vehicles of over
3.5 tons. The product portfolio
includes automated and manual
transmissions, powershift trans-
missions, and powertrain compo-
nents such as clutches, and elec-
tric drives for trucks and buses.
